Why us
You are not funding a campaign: you are funding a rehabilitation centre that runs all year, scientific fieldwork, and sessions in schools.
Te mana o te moana has been at work since it was founded in 2004, first from Moorea then from Tahiti, and across all the archipelagos. You are supporting a local organisation, recognised by institutions and by the Polynesian public alike.
Our Tahiti centre is the only one in French Polynesia that takes in sea turtles that are injured, sick or seized by the authorities. Without it, these animals would receive no care at all.
Your contribution turns into work you can check: turtles treated and released, nesting monitored season after season on Tetiaroa, school classes welcomed and pupils reached.
Our programmes are covered regularly by the press and by television, in Polynesia and internationally. A partnership shares in that visibility.
