Sponsorship

Sponsor one of the turtles in our care

A direct link with a sea turtle cared for by our teams, and tangible support for her day-to-day treatment.

What sponsors receive

Sponsoring means funding the care of one of the centre's residents and following her day to day throughout her rehabilitation.

  • A digital sponsorship certificate

  • News and photos of your turtle every month (or every two months, depending on how active she is)

  • Our quarterly newsletter

Sponsorship has no fixed term: it runs until the sponsored turtle passes away. You receive news of her every month, or every two months at most depending on how active she is, and you can unsubscribe from those emails at any time without ending your sponsorship.

Turtles available for sponsorship

These turtles live at the Tahiti rehabilitation centre. Some will stay for life, others will return to the lagoon once recovered.

Matapo

Hawksbill turtle Resident since 2009

“Blind” in Tahitian. Blinded by a spear gun before she was three, she is fed and cared for by our teams every day.

Haki

Green turtle In rehabilitation

PROVISIONAL — Haki’s story to be supplied. A fundraiser has already been set up to pay for her care.

A sponsorship is still a donation

Every sponsorship directly funds the care, the food and the facilities of the centre. If you would rather support all of our residents than one turtle in particular, an open donation is just as valuable.
